Senior-led Educational Psychology assessment and EHCP statutory advice

Corban Psychology Ltd provides independent Educational Psychology assessment and written advice commissioned by schools, multi-academy trusts (MATs) and local authorities across the North West of England. Work is designed to align with statutory decision-making for EHC needs assessments and EHCP processes (we do not accept direct referrals from parents or carers).

Assessments are typically completed in school, with remote elements used where appropriate. Reports are written to be clear, defensible and usable in real-world settings — not just technically correct.

Remote consultation-only work:
For schools requiring online EP consultation rather than in-person assessment, a separate service is available at epforschools.co.uk

Commissioning
Work is commissioned by schools, MATs and local authorities, and structured to support statutory processes. This approach prioritises clarity, consistency, and professional accountability.

How the process works

  1. Initial enquiry with the commissioning school or local authority
  2. Information sharing (documents and background information provided securely)
  3. Assessment (typically in school; remote elements where appropriate)
  4. Analysis & formulation (integrated psychological understanding of needs)
  5. Written report returned to support EHCP decision-making

  • Clear communication and agreed timescales
  • Professional, evidence-based reasoning
  • Recommendations that are practical to implement
